Find out about the improvements and brand new features we have been working on for you, and about our future plans for development.

 Multi-Channel Listing

It's here!  The moment we have all been working and waiting for.  Our brand-spanking-new Listings Tool is now live and ready to add to your ChannelGrabber package!

With the addition of the New Product Creation and Category Template features (see below), for the first time you're truly able to add the product data just once, and simply select which of your channels you want to list the item to, and ChannelGrabber will do the rest, making listing new products to all of your channels - and therefore increasing your sales potential - easier than ever before!  Welcome to a new era of Multi-Channel Listing!  :)

New Product Creation

Tah-dah!  We have now released the ability to create new products in ChannelGrabber, completely from scratch.  No more having to list products on your marketplaces then importing them in!

There are several reasons why you might like to create a new products in ChannelGrabber.  Maybe you've just taken delivery if a new item that you've never sold before, and want to list it to your marketplaces from scratch, or maybe you need to create a new "master" or "component" product for a bundle...  Whatever your reason, we've got you covered!

Category Templates

As anyone who lists on more than one channel will know, a lot of the product data needed for each channel is the same, but one big difference between them all is their category structures, meaning that you will almost always have a different set of categories and sub-categories on every channel even though the product is the same.  This is usually what makes the listing process so long and arduous!

That's why we came up with a new approach, to make the listing process easier and more efficient: category templates!  It is now possible to set up rules in ChannelGrabber to "map" your own categories to those of your channels, meaning you can then choose one category in the ChannelGrabber listing tool, and the system will automatically know which category that translates to on every channel that you want to list to.  Awesome time saver huh?!

Integration with ShipStation

We have been in talks with the US shipping aggregator, ShipStation for some months now, and are now looking forward to working in partnership with their team to create some powerful new shipping options in ChannelGrabber.

By integrating with ShipStation, we will be able to facilitate our users generating and printing shipping labels for major couriers like FedEx, UPS and USPS from within ChannelGrabber, so this should add a great set of new options to our system in relation to order processing and shipping.

If you have an idea for an improvement or new feature you would like to see us add to the system in the future, please do let us know, by emailing featurerequests@channelgrabber.com

If you're asking for something that has already been requested, we will add your vote to the feature to give it higher priority, or if your idea is totally fresh, we will add a new request to our developers' board for votes and future consideration.

We almost always prioritise feature requests based on demand, so the more users that vote for a feature, the higher up the "to-do" list it will move  ;)

Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Here, we'll pass on any newsworthy events or changes that we've learned about the e-commerce industry that may affect our system or you, our customers, as well as news about new promotions from our partners and affiliates.

Changes to Security Standards Affecting PayPal

We read recently that if merchants have not updated their websites to the latest standards, which includes an upgrade to TLS, then PayPal will stop working on 30th of June and merchants will be unable to accept payments

The TLS protocol is used to encrypt communications between your platform and PayPal’s servers.  The deadline for merchants to upgrade to Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2  is 30/06/2018 and PayPal are requiring all merchants to upgrade their security protocols to TLS 1.2, in line with the requirements set by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Council.

More information about the required changes, the impact of the changes, and how to implement them can be found on PayPal’s Merchant Security Microsite.
