Find out about the improvements and brand new features we have been working on for you, and about our future plans for development.

New Royal Mail OBA Shipping Integration

As many of our customers will already be aware, we recently had some issues beyond our control that meant that we had to retire our previous third-party method of integration with Royal Mail, due to no fault of our own.

It has been a challenging time, and our management team and developers have worked overtime since then to liaise with Royal Mail to find a better and more permanent solution to provide the ability for our customers to create and print Royal Mail labels in ChannelGrabber, and we're all so pleased to announce that this was released in mid-April.

This new integration process has been done under the watchful eye, and with full authorisation from Royal Mail themselves so we, and you, can be confident that this will be the stable and long-term solution that we have long desired.

Cost Price

We have now added a new field to the Products page (on the "Details" tab) to allow you to record the cost price that you paid for each SKU.  The Cost Price fields can be exported in the Stock Export file to provide a stock value report, and can also be imported in bulk from a spreadsheet too.

Low Stock Threshold

We have released a new stock management option to allow you to set low stock thresholds (stock alert levels) per product in ChannelGrabber, so that it will be easier to get a list of your items when they fall below the threshold.

Automatically Create a Purchase Order from Products with Low Stock

Linked with the above low stock thresholds feature, is the option to also have products with low stock levels feeding into the purchase order system automatically.

We will even offer you the option to add incoming stock that you have on purchase order to your available stock on your listings, meaning if you have stock arriving imminently, you can start selling it before it has even arrived!  This will make it easier to keep on top of re-ordering stock from your suppliers, and this should in turn boost your sales by making sure you don't end up with downtime on your listings from running out of stock.  Pretty awesome right?  :)

Expand all Variations

A small change perhaps, but one that we know will make the lives of our customers who sell variation products much easier!  It is now possible expand and view every individual SKU, single and variation, on the Products page, with just one click - making it easier to scan through your products more quickly and access all the information you need at a glance.

eBay Listing Templates

With so many customers now benefiting from ChannelGrabber's listing tool, we recognise that one of the most highly requested additions to this is the option to add a HTML description template to the listing for eBay.  This will allow you to save a HTML template in ChannelGrabber that can then be applied to the listing when it is submitted to eBay by ChannelGrabber.

Packing Slips

This new feature will allow you to design a packing slip to incorporate key order details without the need to print a full invoice page for every order.  This will make picking and packing your orders more efficient and (we hope) reduce the amount of consumables (ink, paper etc) that you need to use when processing your orders.

If you have an idea for an improvement or new feature you would like to see us add to the system in the future, please do let us know, by emailing featurerequests@channelgrabber.com

If you're asking for something that has already been requested, we will add your vote to the feature to give it higher priority, or if your idea is totally fresh, we will add a new request to our developers' board for votes and future consideration.

We almost always prioritise feature requests based on demand, so the more users that vote for a feature, the higher up the "to-do" list it will move  ;)

Don't forget, you can also check out our public development roadmap as well, which will give you an idea of what we're working on and what's next in line/further down our developers' queue at any time:  ChannelGrabber Product Roadmap

Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Here, we'll pass on any newsworthy events or changes that we've learned about the e-commerce industry that may affect our system or you, our customers.

Promote Your Listings

Exclusive insights for ChannelGrabber customers from our partners at eBay!

It was ChannelGrabber's pleasure to host a webinar for our customers with eBay's UK Product Marketing Manager, Jonny Burgess this month, but don't worry if you didn't make it to the webinar - you'll find all the information here!  :)

The webinar focuses on the Promote Your Listings feature on eBay, which has been shown to boost listing visibility across eBay by up to 40% and the webinar covers everything you need to know about the ad service that helps you stand out from the crowd.

With Promote Your Listings, you can increase the chances of securing a sale by creating ad campaigns to promote your items. Listings are displayed in prominent locations on eBay, where buyers are shopping for related items, and the best part is that you only pay for the ad when you get a sale.

This 30 minute webinar covers:

  • An introduction to the tool

  • Key benefits

  • How to get started

  • Top tips for success

  • Advice on how to analyse and interpret reports, and make the most of the ad service

  • Plus a 10 minute Q&A from ChannelGrabber customers

If you have any questions of your own about the Promote Your Listings service on eBay that are not covered in this webinar, you can email customersuccess@channelgrabber.com and we will find the answers for you  ;)

We hope this collaboration between ChannelGrabber and eBay adds value to the service you receive from us, and helps you explore new ways to grow your business too!
