Hello all and welcome to the New Year edition of the ChannelGrabber Newsletter  :)

2018 was a fantastic year in terms of growth for ChannelGrabber and we've made a lot of really important additions to the software, but we would not be where we are today without the support and input from you, our loyal customers, so thank you for contributing and being part of the ChannelGrabber community!  :)

Anyway, slushy emotional stuff aside, let's get on with the newsletter and find out what 2019 has in store...!

Find out about the improvements and brand new features we have been working on for you, and about our future plans for development.

Product Page Re-Design

Based on feedback from our customers and our staff, we are in the process of re-vamping our main Products page to make it look better, but with more product data and functionality than ever before!

Phase one is now complete, which means the Products page layout is now in a much better organised and more concise table format, meaning you can see more Products at once and see quickly where each item is currently listed.

Not only does this now look and function better, but the changes behind the scenes to the actual structure of the page now pave the way for us to continue to add more powerful product, stock and listing management features to the new layout.  Click on "Find Out More" below to view the guide for a tour of the new layout and check out the "Coming Soon" section later in the newsletter for details on the other new features we'll be adding over the coming weeks and months.

UK Mail Courier Integration

Due to a steadily increasing demand for support for UK Mail in ChannelGrabber, we are now able to provide a connection with the courier UK Mail, to allow you to create and print labels for your orders that are being shipped by UK Mail, from within ChannelGrabber.  Click the button below for the guide on how to get this setup on your account.

Picking Locations

To add to the already handy functionality of ChannelGrabber's Pick List feature, we are soon going to be introducing the option to add Picking Locations per SKU, so that you can enter the location of each of your products into ChannelGrabber, then have these included on your Pick List to make collecting, packing and dispatching your orders even more efficient.

Additional Product & Listing Information Fields

We will soon be adding more product fields to the main Products page layout, such as:

  • Cost Price

  • Barcodes (EAN/UPC/ISBN)

We will also be expanding our listing management tool to include the option to edit the following information on existing listings:

  • Titles

  • Prices

  • Descriptions

  • Images

If you have an idea for an improvement or new feature you would like to see us add to the system in the future, please do let us know, by emailing featurerequests@channelgrabber.com

If you're asking for something that has already been requested, we will add your vote to the feature to give it higher priority, or if your idea is totally fresh, we will add a new request to our developers' board for votes and future consideration.

We almost always prioritise feature requests based on demand, so the more users that vote for a feature, the higher up the "to-do" list it will move  ;)

Don't forget, you can also check out our public development roadmap as well, which will give you an idea of what we're working on and what's next in line/further down our developers' queue at any time:  ChannelGrabber Transparent Product Roadmap

Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Here, we'll pass on any newsworthy events or changes that we've learned about the e-commerce industry that may affect our system or you, our customers.

How (and why) to offer free post discounts on eBay with

Multi-buy Discounts

Now with eBay multi-buy discounts it’s simple to set up free post discounts for volume purchases.  eBay say that their analysis shows that sellers could see up to a 23% uplift in average order size when using a Multi-Buy discount.  They suggest that if you offer free postage then there is very little reason why you wouldn’t want to offer discounts based on your postage savings to tempt buyers into buying larger quantities.

Other than the ability to offer free post discounts, the main benefits of eBay multi-buy discounts are:

  • Extra visibility for offers in the View Item page – with discounted prices in a prominent position

  • One click Multi-Buy experience, with easy to understand discounts

  • Potential savings on postage costs for Multi-Buy sales – as repeat buyers buy in multiple quantities, so sellers can send items in one go.

Check out eBay's introductory video about this feature here:

You can also read more about this in eBay's Seller Centre.

The Death of Turbo Lister on eBay

eBay have announced that the popular Turbo Lister tool will be phased out completely in February 2019, so now is the time to backup your Turbo Lister data where possible and find alternative ways to manage your eBay listings moving forward.  eBay offer advice on ways to export ended listings from Turbo Lister in their Seller Centre.
