Find out about the improvements and brand new features we have been working on for you, and about our future plans for development.

Supplier Field per product and Supplier Purchase Order Filter

We have now added a new field to our Products page, under the Details tab, to allow a "Supplier" name/reference to be saved per SKU:

We can also upload a list of SKUs and Suppliers to our database for you in bulk via CSV/spreadsheet if you wish.  If you would like to upload your Supplier data, please send a spreadsheet containing SKUs and Suppliers to help@channelgrabber.com and our Support Team will be happy to assist.

We have introduced a filter for Supplier within the Purchase Order system, meaning you can filter products based on the supplier that you need to re-order them from:

EKM API Upgrade

Our longest standing webstore partner EKM have recently released a new API so we have re-developed our EKM integration to use the new API.  The old EKM API will be retired at the end of January 2020.

To make sure your connection with EKM is updated, all you need to do is navigate to Settings > Sales Channels, click Manage on the EKM account profile, then click the Renew Connection button and follow the on-screen directions after that.  You will then be returned to your ChannelGrabber account and everything else will continue as normal so there is no need to re-import products or orders etc  :)

Support for Xero, QuickBooks and Mailchimp

We are in the early stages of beta testing but will soon be able to offer support in ChannelGrabber for accounting via Xero and QuickBooks, as well as marketing automation with MailChimp.

It will be necessary for us to require a setup fee and additional monthly fee if you want to make use of these services, but if you want to be one of our early adopters and help us with final testing, for a limited time we will waive the setup fee for any CG users happy to help us with bug reporting and functionality feedback prior to the full release of these new features.

Listings Module Improvements

The initial release of our listing tool introduced the option to create new products in ChannelGrabber as well as the ability to then push out new listings to our supported sales channels.  There has been a huge amount of constructive feedback from our users on the value of this tool and also on additions and improvements that you want to see us make, so we've taken time over the last few months to collate all these requests and are now in a position to begin overhauling the listing tool to provide bug fixes and new functionality such as the ability to edit existing listings to update things like prices, titles, descriptions, images etc.  This will be a big project as we want to take our time and really do it right, but we're excited about the additional value that these updates will provide to our customers!  Watch this space for more detailed updates once this project gets underway!

If you have an idea for an improvement or new feature you would like to see us add to the system in the future, please do let us know, by emailing featurerequests@channelgrabber.com

If you're asking for something that has already been requested, we will add your vote to the feature to give it higher priority, or if your idea is totally fresh, we will add a new request to our developers' board for votes and future consideration.

We almost always prioritise feature requests based on demand, so the more users that vote for a feature, the higher up the "to-do" list it will move  ;)

Don't forget, you can also check out our public development roadmap as well, which will give you an idea of what we're working on and what's next in line/further down our developers' queue at any time:  ChannelGrabber Product Roadmap

Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Here, we'll pass on any newsworthy events or changes that we've learned about the e-commerce industry that may affect our system or you, our customers.

New eBay Item Specifics requirements coming in March 2020

Throughout 2019, eBay have emphasised the importance of item specifics and how they increase the visibility of your listings on both eBay and on external search engines. The more data you give eBay about what’s being sold, the better eBay can match the item to what a buyer is looking for.

eBay have announced that they are continuing with these requirements for item specifics in March 2020 in a number of categories and giving sellers at least 8 weeks notice.

New Requirements from 31st March 2020

eBay will be introducing required Item specifics in the below categories. These requirements will be live from 31st March and apply to all new and revised listings:

  • Home & Garden

  • Electronics

For a full list of the required Item specifics and affected categories, please go to eBay's dedicated Item specifics page on the Seller Centre from the link below and download the relevant excel lists:

Use Optiseller Aspect Finder to find missing Item specifics

Optiseller’s Aspect Finder tool has driven success for eBay sellers in 2019, and eBay have now extended this partnership until at least 30th April 2020. Use free of charge to automatically review your listings, identify missing and required Item specifics, find recommended values, and easily update them:
