Royal Mail (OBA) - Error creating labels

How to resolve an issue with Royal Mail (OBA)

Written by Matthew Taylor

Following a mandatory update from Royal Mail, we have received reports of some issues generating Royal Mail (OBA) labels. We have identified the problem occurring for customers who do not have a Trading Company set up in ChannelGrabber.

Set up a Trading Company

First, you will need to set up an additional Trading Company with an email address. You can copy the details from your main company over to this entry in ChannelGrabber.

  1. Scroll down and click New Trading Company

  2. Copy all of the details including your email address from the main company to this Trading Company

  3. Save the Trading Company

Assign the new Trading Company to your OBA Account

You will now need to assign this Trading Company to your Royal Mail (OBA) Account.

  1. Click Manage next to your Royal Mail (OBA) account

  2. Click the Trading Company drop-down

  3. Select the newly set up Trading Company (usually the bottom entry)

  4. Click Save

You will now have a Trading Company, with a valid email address, assigned to the Royal Mail (OBA) account. You should be able to create labels for ROyal Mail (OBA) (you may need to refresh or clear your browser cache).
