If you have tried to run a product export and received an error and failed, the chances are the solution is quite simple. Below we will look at a common example of how product options can cause such an issue.

Contents:

1. Failed Export Error

When running a product export for any reason and you discover it has failed, as shown in the status field, you can hover the mouse over the Actions tab to view details of the error that caused the failure.

This particular error indicates that at some point a duplicate production option has been created, namely "OPT_Color" in this example. This can sometimes happen when running imports into the system. If there are a lot of OPT's, it is easy to accidentally have two without realising.

Luckily this can be easily fixed by deleting the duplicate product option. Follow the steps below to find out how.

2. Admin Centre

From the Admin Centre in Cloud Commerce Pro, click the Product Options button.

3. Product Options

On the Product Options screen you can press CTRL+F and search for the option mentioned in the error. In this example we would search for "Color".

Click the arrows next to each option to expand them and see the values they contain. This should help you determine which is the duplicate and which is the original, as it is likely the original will contain more values and the duplicate likely just one or two.

When you have identified which product option is the duplicate, you can delete it by clicking the trash can icon on the right of it.

Please note, after deleting the duplicate, it will not disappear from the list until the screen has either been manually refreshed or you leave and return.

4. Resume Export

You can now head back to the Product Export screen and run your export once more.
