Setting the correct VAT for your products is essential. Failure to do so can lead to delays in shipping and unexpected charges for your customers.

When importing products from your eBay sales channels, you can configure CCP to apply a specific tax treatment to all of them. This is especially useful if you are confident all the products on your channel use just one particular tax treatment.

1. Admin Centre

From the Admin Centre in Cloud Commerce Pro, click the Configuration button.

2. Configuration Menu

The pop-out configuration menu will appear on the left of your screen.

First click Selling to drill into that section.

Now click Ebay to drill in further.

Finally click Accounts.

3. eBay Accounts

On the eBay Accounts screen, look for the drop down box next to "Import VAT Treatment". Use the drop down to select the VAT treatment you want to apply to all products imported from this channel.

The following treatments are available:

  • Standard Rate

  • Reduced Rate

  • Extra Reduced Rate

  • Super Reduced Rate

  • Zero Rate

  • Flat Rate (UK Only)

  • ECG Exempt (UK Only)

  • VAT Exempt (UK Only)

The actual percentage of VAT these treatments apply will vary at the point of order depending on which country they are being shipped to.

Consult the table below (right click the table and select "open image in new tab" for the full size version) for the actual tax rate percentage for each treatment in each region.

Please note: Cloud Commerce Pro hold no responsibility for setting the tax treatment for your products. Proceed with caution to ensure you are setting the correct treatment for each product. If you have any doubts about what treatment to use, please consult an accredited accountant.
