Configuration of the Order Importer is kept locally and is not an integral part on CCP, this means that we may occasionally ask you to send us files from your machine to help us diagnose an issue.

Using Windows Explorer on the machine and the Windows user profile of the person running the application, these files should be found at:

This PC > Documents > Order Importer

Files

  • already seen.txt - this is the logs for orders we didn’t process because they were already seen. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the order has gone through to CCP, but that it has been processed, or attempted to be processed before by the importer. This file can be safely deleted to save space, but doing so may increase the number of errors generated by the application if previous issue or processed orders are reprocessed in the Order Importer.

  • error.txt - this is when things went obviously wrong and will point to a copy of the API requests and responses in the Errors folder. This file can be safely deleted to save space, but please bear in mind we will need to have a copy of this to diagnose errors.

  • log.txt - records button presses, which files were loaded and what the initial outcome of the attempt was. May not have all the information you need. This file can be safely deleted to save space, but please bear in mind we may need to have a copy of this to diagnose errors and to fully recreate the issue.

  • profiles.bak - current set of profiles you have configured. You will need to send us a copy of this file whenever you want us to investigate an issue - without it we can't even attempt to recreate the issue on our machine. DO NOT DELETE THIS FILE, doing so means you will need to reconfigure your application.

  • settings.bak - your API info and list of your import profile names in here. You need a copy of this if you want to try and recreate the issue on your own machine. DO NOT DELETE THIS FILE, doing so means you will need to reconfigure your application.

  • soap log.txt - top level overview of those API requests that didn’t fail. This file can be safely deleted to save space, but doing so may increase the number of errors generated by the application if previous issue or processed orders are reprocessed in the Order Importer.

Folders

  • Errored Orders - failed order folders and contents

  • Errors - API calls (Requests and Responses) for any errors reported in the errors.log

  • Incoming Orders - processing space for the application

  • Older Backups - stores previous versions of configuration files if you need to "roll back" changes to a previous configuration. Recommended you do not delete.

  • Processed Orders - orders that were successfully added to the system

All folders within the Order Importer folder are safe to delete in that they do not break/reset the Order Importer - however you may wish to take care when deleting folders that you may remove historic information we need for any investigations you ask us to do; particularly if they are in the folders listed above.
