Packaging types can be used for different reasons. Mostly this is used for creating additional labels for shipments.
It is also used to add or take weight away from shipments if needed.

From the Admin Centre in Cloud Commerce Pro, click the Configuration button.
2. Configuration
From the Configuration menu on the left of the screen, first click Shipping to drill into that section. Then click Packaging Types.
3. Packaging Types
Any existing packaging types will display here.
To begin adding a new packaging type, click the Add New Packaging Type button.
4. Configuring Packaging Types
When configuring Packaging types, we have quite a few options to go through.
Name - The name of the packaging type, E.g. Additional Labels
Enabled - If you want this packaging type to be enabled or not
Added Weight - The weight you want to add to your package, or if you put a negative sign in front of your weight, you can use this to deduct weight as well. E.g. 10000 or -10000 which is an additional 10 kg or negative 10 kg.
Added Cost - The cost you want to add to your package.
Added Labels - The amount of additional labels you want. If you want 1 extra label, you will fill this with 1.
On the right you will see shipping rules, you can select either all the rules with the Set All Rules tick box, or select rules individually.
Example of how we are going to fill this out to get 2 Extra labels on our Package:
On this example, we have 2 additional labels, all shipping rules selected and 100g added to the weight.
5. Save Your Packaging Type
Once you are happy with your configuration, click the Save button to finalise your choices
6. View Packaging Types
Your new packaging type will now display in the list with any other packaging types that were created previously.
